Argo Tractors, a global player in the field of agricultural machinery based in Fabbrico, Reggio Emilia, Italy has officially joined Motor Valley. This prestigious association brings together the major motoring brands of the Emilia-Romagna industrial district, corporate museums, private collections, circuits, driving schools and motoring event organisers with the aim of building, preserving and handing down the motoring heritage of the region and developing it for tourism and promotional purposes in the main international markets.

Argo Tractors is a company that brings together three historic brands in the tractor world under a single name: Landini, McCormick and Valpadana. A multinational company that has always operated in the heart of the Motor Valley, in the province of Reggio Emilia, with five production plants. Its historic headquarters are located in Fabbrico. The home of the group that, since 1884, has hosted the historic Landini tractor company.

“We are truly proud to have been welcomed into the Motor Valley”, comments the President of Argo Tractors and Cavaliere del Lavoro Valerio Morra, “which is much more than an association, but an identifying mark of a region, Emilia-Romagna, that has made the history of national and international motor sports, with the top brands in the sector that were established and are based here. We feel more involved than ever in this history, with our brands that are rooted in tradition and open to the world, the future and innovation thanks to the great passion we have always worked with. Joining Motor Valley is therefore the best recognition for what we have done and are doing in our industry”.

The Land of Motors project was officially launched in 2005 with the support of the Emilia-Romagna government, which soon became its leader, expanding throughout the entire region and establishing partnerships with neighbouring regions. The Motor Valley Development Association was founded ten years later with the aim of further expanding the project internationally, bringing together all the major players in the world of motoring in Emilia-Romagna with the goal of making the Land of Motors one of the most important assets in the promotion of tourism in international markets.

Also significant is the commitment to training, thanks to which a number of university courses, masters and specialised programmes have been developed for the automotive and motor sports worlds, in a perfect synergy between schools and companies, which has always been one of the cornerstones of Argo Tractors.
