Argo Tractors and its Landini and McCormick brands will be present in full force at the next FIMA Exhibition, to be held in Zaragoza from 20 to 24 February. Great improvement for the Italian multinational company which, for the second year running, achieved a further increase in market share in 2017.
Argo Tractors made a step forward in the Spanish market, highlighted last 29 September during the opening of a new branch facility in Villamarcel (Valladolid). This initiative has been backed in support of the sales network and for progressive expansion throughout the country.
Covering almost 6 hectars and with 2,500 square meters of built-up area, AgriArgo Iberica of Villamarcel has achieved the goal of more space for services during these first few months. Services including training courses, a permanent area for displaying the tractors range, organization of events and field trials in an area owned by the branch alongside the headquarters in a part of Spain, the Autonomous Community of Castilla y Leon, that is one of the top areas at national level for sales of high-power tractors and overall sales volumes. With numerous initiatives, conferences, tours and field trials that have been organized, almost 2,000 customers, professionals and journalists have visited AgriArgo Iberica during these first few months.
In addition, thanks to the new facility, the Spanish branch of Argo Tractors has improved the type and level of the services offered and has increased its investments in training and work tools, thereby proceeding towards a decisive expansion of the sales network, which is one of the main goals of the mother company.
The digitization process that Argo Tractors has been pursuing with determination since two years, has involved and affected both the customers and sales network. Investments in CRM software, in new Corporate and dealer websites, product configurators and B2B and B2C e-commerce systems have projected Argo Tractors into the world of Industry 4.0, the aim being to optimize the time frames of the sales network and improve customer satisfaction.
Argo Tractors business plan focuses on man, from dealers to sellers, from customers to operators. A new and prestigious acknowledgement testifying to this commitment to technological innovation at all levels and to concern for the human element will be waiting at FIMA, in Zaragoza. Argo Tractors will be awarded with the “Novedad Técnica” (Technical Innovation) during the fair thanks to the “The Human Factor” project.
“The Human Factor” is the name of a software developed by Argo Tractors and Milan University. This device helps the operator to improve his driving style in road transport with regard to three performance indicators: “Safety”, “Economy”, “Comfort”. Data are collected on board by sensors and immediately processed by an algorithm. The operator is therefore informed in a simple way by means of percentage values and colour signals on the DSM (touch-screen monitor), encouraging him to adopt an optimal driving style.
