The French subsidiary of Argo Tractors will have new headquarters in Lyon
Jean-Luc Fernandez will be the new General Manager of Argo France, the French subsidiary of the Argo Tractors group. The group conceives and produces tractors under the Landini, McCormick and Valpadana brands.
The announcement was made over the past few days by Mr. Simeone Morra, President of Argo France, who confirmed that Mr. Fernandez will take up his role at the end of August.
With a background in commerce and holding an advanced Masters degree in General Management from Paris’ prestigious ESSEC Business School, the 47 year-old French manager boasts over twenty years’ managerial experience in renowned groups from the agricultural machinery sector, working in the development, implementation and organization of dealerships and importer networks.
“It was important for us to find a manager with excellent organizational skills and in-depth knowledge of agricultural dealerships, declared Simeone Morra, I am pleased that, thanks to the efforts of everyone involved and under the guidance of Jean-Luc Fernandez, who is an expert in the agricultural machinery business and is specialized in dealerships, our group will be able to successfully develop the new premises and improve our position in France”.
One of the first and most important projects that the new General Manager will face will be the development of the new Argo France HQ in Villefontaine, just close to Isére river, south of Lyon, where since last July Argo France offices have been moved. Following the positive experience of the Spanish branch of the group, Argo France new site will feature an operational base complete with offices, showroom, training centre and trial areas for tractors.
Argo France would also like to take the opportunity to thank Gilles Lec’hvien for his hard work and dedication, as he moves on to new challenges, leaving the role of Commercial Director to Jean-Luc Fernandez.
