“A significant development in the company’s global growth path”. Simeone Morra, Corporate Business Director of Argo Tractors, used these words to emphasise the strategic importance of the appointment of Javier Rodríguez Buerba as the new General Manager of McCormick Mexico branch, and the new manager of the Landini and McCormick distribution network in Latin America.
Javier, who takes on this new position on 29 March 2021, has gained significant experience in management positions in the agricultural mechanisation sector; his main objectives shall aim to continue the global expansion policy of Argo Tractors, manufacturer of McCormick and Landini tractors, on the Latin American markets.
He takes over from Tiago Bonomo who held this role for the last 13 years and who will now continue to dedicate his expertise to the development of the North American market and the Brazilian production plant.
“I am truly excited about the new position and the trust that Argo Tractors has placed in me, and my commitment will definitely demonstrate my utmost appreciation – the first words of the new General Manager Javier Rodríguez Buerba. – The group undoubtedly has highly ambitious plans for these areas and my task is to make a successful contribution to achieving these targets”.
Argo Tractors has been present in Mexico since 2003 with the McCormick brand, which is distributed by the local McCormick Tractores de Mexico branch, acknowledged for the high quality and professional level of the services provided, with the support of a capillary dealer network. The headquarters, located in Silao in the state of Guanajuato, guarantees administrative, commercial, marketing and technical support to dealers and customers, thanks to a highly skilled and competent work team that has grown over the years.
In Latin America, on the other hand, Argo Tractors is mainly represented by the Landini brand, marketed through enterprises with strong roots in the territory, many of which boast a long-term partnership with the Italian multinational.
“The Latin American market – Simeone Morra explains – is particularly strategic for our group and the appointment of Javier highlights our desire to support a policy that focuses on the strengthening and growth of the distribution network benefiting from a wide and renewed range of tractors dedicated to specialist and open field crops. Argo Tractors provides Latin American farmers with all the technological heritage developed and realised for the European markets, while guaranteeing increasingly timely and comprehensive technical assistance and financial and digital services”.
