In the 140th year since the founding of the historic Landini brand, the Argo Tractors group is launching a new project. The aim of which is staff training. This is the Factory School, an in-house institution designed to prepare new recruits, but also open to experienced personnel, with the aim of improving product and process quality, achieving an ever-higher operating standard and involving production from the ground up.

“The Factory School has been set up in a dedicated area inside our Fabbrico plant”, explains Antonio Salvaterra, Marketing Director of Argo Tractors, “and consists of 11 teaching stations inside classrooms equipped with visual instruments and supports for practical training, on which students can test themselves until they become independent. In the various stations, dedicated masters pass on the basic knowledge preparatory to the next activity on the line: from the company’s organisation to personal protective equipment, forms, assembly processes, the operation of the supermarket, as well as hydraulic tightening, adjustments, electrical systems, and concluding with an evaluation aimed at continuous improvement”.

The Factory School has a teaching staff of in-house “masters”, trained for this activity with the aim of consolidating the culture of quality work in tractor production processes.

The project, which started in February 2024, began with the training of 5 “masters” i.e. instructors, who were selected from within the various Argo Tractors plants due to their skills and teaching abilities, and who immediately learnt the teaching methods based on the “Training Within Industry” method.

“Factory School represents an innovative and constantly evolving project”, Salvaterra concludes. “Its dynamic nature ensures constant collaboration with the Research & Development area, helping to improve and standardise the skills of people with different experiences and backgrounds, maximising the total quality of the production process and promoting that spirit of collaboration and teamwork that characterises Argo Tractors”.
